4th of six
Faith has grown up so much in the past few months. She has adjusted to kindergarten so well, not just academically but socially as well. Her best friend in school is Catherine, with whom she often has a playdate with on Friday afternoons. Faith's favorite school subjects are gym and creative writing. She does not like math stations. Faith is often the first one up in the morning, grabbing her uniform and ready to go before anyone else. She likes coming home on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, but I can sense she is ready for full day, everyday. She is more often "bored" at home, which then spurs her creativity. She has her own craft box in the basement and can be found with all the contents spread on the floor and quietly creating a project. I love to see what she's created after hours of work. It is always detailed and colorful. If Faith is not in the basement creating something, she is outside playing on the swing set or kicking around a soccer ball. Faith joined the YMCA soccer league this spring and was a consistent goal scorer for her team. Faith still likes playing with dolls and stuffed animals and leads Lily and Isaac in creative play. Faith eats like a bird, rarely finishing a meal unless it is spaghetti with parmesan cheese. She also has a sweet tooth for candy and would eat out of the candy bowl all afternoon if I let her. Faith gives the best butterfly and eskimo kisses to me before quickly falling asleep for the night. She sleeps well and wakes up refreshed for the next day.
