Enjoying it all...

Last Tuesday we were cleaning up dinner when the door bell rang. Chris went to answer it and I heard, "Oh my gosh!" We all went running to the door as Chris opened it up to see Vince standing there. (He was Chris's college roommate.) We haven't seen him in several years, and here he was with five bags containing Pannekoeken's special apple pancake in his hand. When he'd visit Rochester we'd take him to this restaurant, and while he was in Minneapolis on business he stopped there to pick these up for us and bring them all the way to Milwaukee. It was such a great surprise.

The girls had a half day on Thursday, and that afternoon we thought it would be fun for each school girl to have a friend over. Even with nine kids in the house, it went smoothly and I enjoyed the afternoon of giggles. On Friday we met Grandma and Papa at Gurnee Mills. We haven't seen them for almost two months! (We'll blame their Hawaii trip for the delay.) The Maddens also came with. You should have seen the heads turn...four adults and nine kids caused lots of looks and curiosity.

Isaac fell asleep while waiting for the girls to get out of the bathroom. (Ha, ha)
