Road to recovery

Jaci is feeling better and her arm is healing more everyday. Thank you to everyone who helped out by sending their well wishes, gave Jaci a distraction gift package, or made a meal. It was so wonderful to have her safely home last week and just be able to sit in the chair and cuddle with her knowing so many people were helping out.
There was some miscommunication on my part and I got Jaci's schedule wrong. This past Monday she got the hard cast on. We got to see her arm and the pins. Wow. It was so bruised and the pins really looked unbelievable. Jaci even was brave enough to glance at them. In about two more weeks she'll get the cast and pins out. Then she'll probably have a sling to limit her range of motion on her arm. I expected the cast process to take much longer, but they said children heal so much more quickly than adults. In fact, Jaci is back at school and doing almost everything as normal. This for someone who had a complete break that almost came through the skin. We found out at her doctor's appointment it broke in two spots! I'll have to work on getting the x-ray of the break up here soon.
Here's a picture of Jaci's new cast.
